The royal family has returned to formal attire in full force. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have gathered to witness the glamorous world premiere of No Time To Die, James Bond’s latest feature film. The group arrived together at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the big event.
For the occasion, Kate made a statement in an embellished Jenny Packham cape dress, with architectural shoulders and a flowing train. The metallic look was a bold choice for Kate, who normally leans towards simpler pieces. She paired the dress with circular gold earrings and an intricate bun.
The audience for the premiere includes not only two future kings, but also healthcare workers and members of the military, who have joined the royal family for the special outing. Daniel Craig, of course, was also in attendance, celebrating his fifth and final time as James Bond.
After numerous delays due to the pandemic, No Time to Die will finally arrive in theaters on September 30. In addition to Craig, the film also stars Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas and Naomie Harris, among others. Notably, Fleabag creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge contributed script, alongside Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and film director Cary Joji Fukunaga.
The latest iteration of the franchise follows Bond as he comes out of retirement to help a friend. The diary line notes: “Bond has quit active service and leads a quiet life in Jamaica. His peace is cut short when his old friend Felix Leiter of the CIA shows up for help. The rescue mission d ‘a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond down the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. “
Members of the Royal Family often attend Bond premieres. William and Kate attended the 2015 premiere of Bond’s last film, Specter, accompanied by Prince Harry. Prince Charles and Camilla also attended the Skyfall premiere in 2012.
