Yashahime’s English dub: Princess Half-Demon Season 2 debuts on Funimation, Crunchyroll and Hulu.
Like season 1 before it, season 2 of Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess officially premiered in English on Funimation, Crunchyroll and Hulu.
On Twitter, Head of Viz Media Yashahime Account announced that the English dub of Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess – The Second Act would be available to stream on the aforementioned platforms starting today, November 5th. “[Yashahime] fans, we have some exciting news! “the post read.” You can see the English dub for Season 2 premiered on 5/11 on [Crunchyroll], [Funimation] and [Hulu]. “
For now, the English dub of “Wielding the Tenseiga” – the first episode of Yashahime Season 2 and the 25th episode of the series in total are available to stream on Funimation, Crunchyroll and Hulu. Additionally, a total of five Season 2 episodes are already airing in Japanese with subtitles, with a sixth coming out tomorrow morning. The entirety of Season 1 is already available to stream, both in Japanese and English.
Yashahime is an original anime that follows the popular manga / anime series Inuyasha. The series follows Towa and Setsuna – the twin daughters of Sesshomaru and Rin – who were separated at a young age, Towa finding herself stuck in the modern era, where she was raised by Sota Higurashi. 10 years later, Towa reunites with Setsuna, who has since become a demon slayer. The sisters join forces with their cousin Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome Higurashi, to unravel the secrets of their past.
Yashahime premiered on Japanese television on October 3, 2020. Season 1 ran for a total of 24 episodes, ending earlier this year on March 20. A second season, Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess – The Second Act, was confirmed shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, Viz Media delivered the anime to western viewers with subtitles via Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. Funimation also produced the English dub, which began airing on Crunchyroll and Hulu, as well as Funimation itself, on November 6, 2020. The dub made its way to network TV in the United States last June. , premiered on Cartoon Network / Bloc Toonami de Swim for adults.
The second act premiered early last month on October 2 – a year, almost to the day, after the Season 1 premiere. Additionally, a manga adaptation of Yashahime by Takashi Shiina debuted in Shnen Sunday S September 25 – a week before the Season 2 premiere. Viz licensed the manga for North American readers.
